Framatome in the Nordics
Framatome has been a long-standing partner for the Finnish and Swedish nuclear operators.
There are 11 operating PWR, BWR and VVER nuclear power plants in the Nordics including, 5 in Finland and 6 in Sweden. Committed to deliver carbon-free energy for generations, they will be operated for at least another 15 years up to 60 years for the newest plant, Olkiluoto 3.
Framatome Finland Oy
Capitalizing on the expertise and competencies developing and executing the design & engineering, construction and commissioning of the Olkiluoto 3 EPR reactor, Framatome Finland Oy was established in 2019 to provide and coordinate local maintenance activities and services to our Nordic customers. This local subsidiary is organized to support the execution of Framatome contracts and to foster growth in Northern Europe.

Backed by Framatome global solutions and technologies, our subsidiary Framatome Sweden AB develops our ability to deliver relevant techno-bricks as well as targeted modernization operations and innovative components.
Areas of core competence
In the frame of the Nordics’ operating fleet, projects for plants life extension as well as new builds perspectives, Framatome offers a wide range of solutions to answer the needs to the Finnish and Swedish operators and support them reaching their operational objectives. Be it supporting them in operating brand-new plants units or maintaining existing ones dealing with ageing management, in realizing modernization projects to secure long term operations, securing or transitioning to reliable fuel supply for a safe and competitive nuclear power generation.
